Retro Snaps is a fun photography film themed pattern.
I released the pattern in 2018 but have recently made another one (cushion version) using the gorgeous Tinsel collection from Cloud 9.
I'm in love with the vintage style illustrations in this collection, they have a fun, timeless feel.
This version was pieced with Aurifil 2600 50wt and has been quilted with little white stars and crosses using Aurifil 2026 12wt
Instagram can be a great place for inspiration, so here's a few makes by some lovely creative people (links in the pics for their Instagram profiles, if you want to check out their other amazing creations.)
A Wizard of Oz fussy cut spectacular by @li_lou

I love the use of this green Parisian fabric by @cloudtori
When I was a teenager I used to work at Boots (originally a chemist shop now a lot more!) I worked many hours in the photo lab. This was back when most people would bring in a film to develop, rather than print off digital images at a kiosk.
I used to love the process of developing and then scanning the film to print the photos. Do you remember the fun of waiting to get your prints back because you didn't get to preview and edit the pics before hand!
Never saw anything as fun as the pics in the retro snaps makes though!
